The beginnings of the company’s activity date back to the early 1980s, when Andrzej Kabat opened the business in Budzyń. Tyres and inner tubes were repaired in a small 21m² workshop.

Andrzej Kabat expanded his plant’s operations to include retreading of passenger tyres.

Andrzej opened a new plant with an area of 400m². The company started ironworks, mechanics and building machinery for the production of rubber products and inner tubes.

In 1987 Tadeusz Kabat opened a company dealing in the production of rubber products, including flaps for trucks, mud flaps for cars, flippers and car floor mats. The company of Tadeusz Kabat’s brother – Andrzej Kabat – supplied machinery for his plant.

In 1987 both companies debuted at the Kooperacja (‘Cooperation’) Fair in Poznań. Since then, the company has regularly participated in many trade fairs both in Poland and abroad. Appearance at trade fairs allows us to learn, acquire new experience and gain the trust of clients.

Both companies began collaborating, which resulted in the commencement of work on launching the production of inner tubes for passenger cars, which occurred two years later.

Both brothers’ companies began producing inner tubes, which over time became a strategic product and their showcase. Thanks to the “B” safety certificate obtained, passenger inner tubes were the first to be manufactured on KABAT’s production line. Over time, the company’s range has expanded to include motorcycle, agricultural, truck and bicycle inner tubes.

The company has started a new stage of operations. A 420m² rubber compound production plant was built with two rolling mills. This allowed the company to become independent of the supply of compounds for the production of rubber products. The dynamic increase in the sale of inner tubes and rubber products caused a rapid inefficiency of both plants, so in 1991, a decision was made to end the vulcanisation and retreading of tyres.

In 1994, the company had a breakthrough moment. Construction commenced of a new plant with an area of 12.8ha in the outskirts of Budzyń. This was a joint initiative of brothers Andrzej and Tadeusz Kabat. A year later, the first department for the production of compounds was opened in the new plant.

On 1 January 1996, a decision was made to merge the two plants, and so Przedsiębiorstwo Produkcyjno-Usługowo-Handlowe Kabat S.C. was created.

It was decided that the plant would be moved to new halls with a total area of approximately 30,000 m². In the same year, a second compound production line was installed that reached a production capacity of 30 tonnes per day.

A building was erected on the company’s premises for the construction and repair of machinery and moulds for inner tubes.

Dedicated halls were built for the production of technical and moulding products, i.e. inner tube flaps, rubber mats and mats.

Development began of the laboratory, warehouses of finished goods and raw materials, and a computer network. Over the next several years, the plant was gradually improved, for example, the mixer for the production of rubber compounds was replaced, which increased production capacity by 50%. Further investments included commencement of works on the implementation of the integrated ISO EN 9001:2000, EN 14001:2004, and PN-N-18001:2004 systems, and the selection of an auditor.

Commencement of preparatory work (the final audit was completed in the second quarter of 2006). Investments in rubber recycling, which started in 2005, are further activities aimed at improving our services.

In 2006, the construction of a modern 6,000 m² building was completed. Thanks to the new hall and the purchase of new presses for the production of inner tubes, the production capacity doubled and the order waiting time dropped to 48 hours. Currently, the annual production capacity is 8,000,000 inner tubes, and in total approximately 16,000 tonnes of rubber products.

A new finished goods warehouse has been commissioned. In the same year, Kabat successfully passed another follow-up ISO audit, resulting in the extension of certificates until 2012.

In October 2011, the first Kabat diagonal agricultural tyres were manufactured in the factory. At the beginning of 2014, the company began selling them officially. The current list of sizes is available on the website under the Offer tab.

In mid-2014, the first super-elastic solid tyres were manufactured under the Kabat brand.

In April 2015, the sale of three-layer solid tyres in a standard version and for quick installation officially began.

All new solutions allow Kabat Tyre to achieve European standards, maintain services at an unchanged, high level and, most importantly, ensure client satisfaction.

The company continuously evolves in the direction of maintaining the highest level of services thanks to its long-term investment in the development of its employees, machinery, buildings and IT software.
